THE BATMOBILE OF 1950 While chasing some criminals in the Batmobile, Batman and Robin drive the vehicle to a bridge that has been rigged by the thugs to explode. As a result, the Batmobile is wrecked and Batman's leg is crushed. For some time, Robin is the only active member of the Dynamic Duo, fighting crime without a vehicle. In the meantime, Bruce recovers from his injured leg while he works on the design and construction of the new Batmobile.
